In November the club hosted an awards night, the highlight was Welly Munro reciving a Paul Harris Fellowship. Welly, originally from ChristChurch, NZeen active ever since.  He has been President of the Motoeka club (NZ) and President of the Cesnock club in NSW. Welly continues to work as a chemist in Bundaberg and lives in Bargara with his wife Jude.

The night celebrated all PHF members by the way of a Pual Harris Fellowship plaque with all the PHF members names engraved on the plaque with dates

The night also saw 2 appreciation awards - 1 to the Bargara Tavern for hosting our club nights and the second to Gordon who is not a Rotarian but has been visiting for work for 12 months and has been involved in all  club activities.

The club also recognised Lesli Gill, wife of Rotarian Keith Gill for the 100's of hours she devotes to organising the Swap Meet each year.  She is a tireless worker and the amount of effort is incredible .  leslie received a beutiful bunch of flowers from the club in appreciation of her efforts.

The awards night also saw the club present a cheque to Bernie Daniels from the Coral Coast Mens Shed  for $800.00.  The Mens Shed has recently been opened and the club is committed to assisting the shed in a number of areas.
